Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are routine activities that most people perform every day without needing assistance. An individual’s ability to perform ADLs is important in order to determine what type of long-term care and coverage the individual needs. Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) are the skills necessary to live independently, such as the ability to use a telephone, shop for groceries, handle finances, perform housekeeping tasks, prepare meals, and take medications.

Boston Kaigo Helpers employs and pays all our caregivers. You will receive weekly invoices by mail or email for services provided. There is no exchange of money between you and your caregiver. We handle all payroll matters, which means you won’t need to worry about caregiver taxes, social security or insurance issues.
Yes, we participate with long-term care insurance companies and bill them directly.
No, Boston Kaigo Helpers does not participate with Medicare. However, we can follow clients once Medicare no longer covers services. Medicare-certified agencies will frequently identify that the client needs additional assistance not covered and will reach out to us to supplement care to these individuals.

Boston Kaigo Helpers carefully chooses your caregiver based on the skills needed for your care, personality, distance caregiver must travel, and other criteria clients may determine.
We make our best effort to match our caregivers to your needs. However, if you wish to make a change, simply call the office and we will find another caregiver.
